Models spice up house marketingGLAMOUR models, actors and six-figure advertising budgets are helping real estate agents battle a slump at the top end of Victoria’s property market.

The owners of some of the state’s most expensive homes are spending big dollars to give their sales campaigns a pretty face.

Former Computershare director Michele O’Halloran recently spent about $200,000 on a campaign including a five-minute film telling the story of 24 hours at her $20 million Portsea mansion, Ilyuka.

The production involved 20 crew, six actors – including Channel 9 identity Brodie Harper – and took nearly four days to film.

It has been sent to millionaires around the world.

Filmmaker Bob Weis and his theatre producer wife Catherine Reiser have also decided to inject some glamour into the sale of their luxury beachfront mansion.

Advertisements for the couple’s $6 million Beaconsfield Pde, St Kilda, property show a leggy blonde model baking cakes in the kitchen, cuddling a baby in the bedroom and posing in other areas of the house.
