WyndhamThe fastest growth area in Victoria is the City of Wyndham, and Point Cook and Sanctuary Lakes contribute significantly to the attractiveness and “desirability” of this municipality.

In the 2007 – 2008 year, 74,000 people came into Victoria, both from interstate and overseas. Of these, 8,874 chose this area to live. Why is this the case ?

Our internal surveys generate the following responses:

  • Affordability – purchasers can find an attractive home at a reasonable cost
  • Wide range of services – shopping, community facilities and transport
  • Good quality properties – there are areas of Melbourne that offer cheaper housing options but the overall quality of Point Cook and Sanctuary Lakes is attractive to families
  • Proximity to the City – not everyone commutes to the City but those that do have about half the trip that those who live in other growth areas experience.
  • Enormous growth of businesses and industry in the Laverton and Altona North precinct, generating plenty of employment options.
  • Close to Port Phillip Bay.
  • Access to the Airport

There are many other reasons as well, all of which contribute to our region being one of Melbourne’s most attractive housing options for new arrivals into Victoria.
