Kim WardEach year that Children’s Medical Research Institute runs a fund raising day under the catchy name of Jeans for Genes Day. Businesses and their employees are encouraged to wear jeans to work and to make a donation towards this wonderful cause, whose aim is to overcome genetic disorders in children.

With the backing of Sandhurst Residential Real Estate, the Sandhurst community donated $942.30, as well as enjoying a relaxed morning tea or coffee last Friday.

Sales Director, Ms Kim Ward said she was delighted with the effort of the Sandhurst community. “We were very pleased to see so many residents attend. Everyone is busy and I was unsure about how many people would be able to come. Despite the cold weather the sun was shining and the Wintergarden Café within the Clubhouse looked an absolute picture”

“Thank you to all those who attended, and for your donations. We know that the Children’s Medical Research Institute appreciates every donation.”

Director, Peter Righetti said “Our company had supported a range of very worthwhile causes over the past few years and Jeans for Genes is one of them. We were delighted to fund the morning tea and to make a donation as well.”

Those who missed the function are still welcome to donate either direct via the Jeans for Genes Day web site or through our office – Sandhurst Residential Real Estate – 03 8787 9000
