Spring green Leafs - defocused Background

Last weekend’s auction and private sales results across the Melbourne market continued the upbeat story of spring 2013.

A brief snapshot of clearance rates, number of sales and median prices show a significant improvement on the same time last year. These stronger figures have been evident for some weeks, leading analysts to conclude that the market is in a much healthier position than is has been for the past 18-24 months.

Melbourne sales results for weekend Sept 21 & 22

Even Melbourne’s focus on the grand final is unlikely to dampen the positive mood in the current property market. Although fewer auctions take place, prices and clearance rates historically have been unaffected.
